Many of my subscribers ask me about Pay Per Click Marketing. The reason why I don’t talk about it is simply because it doesn’t really relate to my audience. Most people who take the free Extra Paycheck Course want to start an online business on a very small budget . Unfortunately PPC requires an investment and that investment can be lost very quickly.
However, if you do decide to drive traffic with pay per click marketing you need to know a few important things.
Optimization. You need to make sure that your ad is highly relevant to the page you are promoting through ppc. If your ad says: “This diet will help you lose 20 lbs in 1 month” and your landing page is talking about an exercise routine then Google might ask you to pay 5 or 10 or even 50$ per click. This is unsustainable. Make sure that the copy on your landing page is exactly what you ad promises. This will give you a cheaper cost per click (CPC).
Targeting. Ppc Platforms are getting better and better at targeting. Don’t just set up a Facebook ad if you haven’t spend a decent amount of time learning about Facebook ad targeting. Also make sure you know who your PERFECT target audience is and create an ad for them. You might think that your product is perfect for every single male in the age of 18 to 65 but it isn’t. Target deeper. What kind of income are they earning? Are they single or dating? Do they live in Texas or in London UK? The better you understand your perfect client the better results you will get from your ad campaigns.
Budget. How much money are you willing to spend on that ad? Regardless of a platform you need to set up your daily limit or your campaign limit. I once spent $500+ in a few hours instead of $30 on Yahoo ads because I didn’t set a spending limit. I also didn’t earn a single dollar from it because the clicks were fraudulent. I explain all of this in detail through this episode but I am sure you get the point.
Discounts. Before signing up to any PPC platforms make sure to search for coupons. Most PPC platforms offer $50-$150 worth of advertising to new clients. This is more of a hack than a strategy but still worth it.
