A baby is a specialized or more formalized synonym for the ordinary, everyday, normal-formed child, thereby denoting the baby's younger offspring. The word can also be employed to describe minor children of other organisms, specifically animals. For example, a Newborn is a baby who's just a few hours old, up to a few weeks old, or even less.
