While there’s no simple definition for such a broad concept, “content” is essentially all of the copy and other media your brand generates. For our purposes, it’s everything that gets published on your Social Media accounts, blogs, landing pages, newsletters, and gated pieces. No matter where you place it, this content should be unique and engaging, while still aligning with your brand’s voice and tone.
Content is always created with purpose. A social Media post might strive to drive traffic to your website. A blog may have a call to action that encourages readers to buy a certain product or service. A whitepaper may work to educate your audience on a brand-related topic.
Here’s an example: The content you’re reading right now was written to inform you, a reader, about content (so meta). Since we’d love to have you as a client, our call to action, or CTA, will encourage you to stay on the website to learn more about our services! And her comes the call to action:
