JAIPUR: The country Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) attracted the seven bookies arrested in Cyberabad into Jaipur from which four were shipped into four weeks of police custody and the rest judicial custody.
Cops maintained they got a lengthy list of names that were involved in illegal gambling. The ATS group had detained 14 persons following simultaneous raids in five locations in three countries.
The ATS had broken an interstate gang gambling on Indian Premier League (IPL) and conducted a raid in their hideouts at Delhi, Cyberabad at Telangana, Jaipur and Nagaur. In Delhi and Nagaur, the accused was able to escape. Authorities also recovered multiple cellular phones and latops that were used for illegal gambling.
Ashok Rathore, ADG (SOG and ATS) stated,”The analysis so far has shown their network across distinct in the nation.”
The officer refused to disclose any etails because it may hamper the investigations.
The accused were included in gambling in a layered way. They maintain noting down all of the calls for stakes. The majority of the stakes are passed to the individual sitting in a greater degree for which they receive a commission. There are a couple sites where they maintain tracking the prices of stakes. The payoff is completed via hawala transaction.
The analysis of this bookies’ diaries showed reports of roughly Rs 15 crore while additional investigation has been completed. During the raids, cops captured three automobiles, almost 100 cell phones, balances diaries, LED track, range cellular place diverter and many others. The accused could frequently change their places to prevent getting caught. Cops are considering this system using global links though it’s not yet been confirmed.
