After a series of rows over the performance of Namaz at the open space by Muslim people now in last month, a Gurgaon based organization has come forward to sit in indefinite fast against the inaction of the district administration despite its assurance to ban the Namaz in open space after the Ramadan month is over.
In a press conference held in Gurgaon, the members of Bharat Bachao Sangathan said that they had reminded the district administration to ban Namaz at the open space in public- as it causes inconvenience not only to the people in their movement but also it creates a panic situation for all.
Giving the details President of Bharat Bachao Sangathan Vikram Yadav said,
“We have told the Muslim people who gather here several open spaces to stop Namaz. Why You are coming to show your religious rituals every Friday. You better do it in your home. But they have yet to listen to our appeal. They said they have taken permission from the district administration. How can the district administration give the permission for Namaz in open space these people of suspecting nature causing a nuisance to the public? We are not getting any good response from the district administration.”
To strengthen their demand the Organization is going to sit on indefinite fast from next week.
“We are going to sit in indefinite fast against the inaction of the district administration of Gurgaon from 10 September 2018. Besides the general public, several religious leaders are expected to attend in the indefinite fast. We have also got a very good response from the residents of the city. Those people who gather for the Namaaz are mostly Bangladeshi and Rohingyas immigrants. They are floating population of the city and a great threat to the law and order of the city. Besides that, most of these people are having criminal records,” said Vijay Yadav, secretary of Bharat Bachao Sangathan.
After the publication of the NRC in Assam the organization has also demanded similar NRC in Haryana. They have already conveyed the matter to Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar. The CM had accepted their demand, for which have expressed their gratitude.
Present on the press conference were- Lal Chand Arya, Sangita Gupta, Rajesh Avashthi, Gautam Saini, Ashish Bhasin, Sanjeeb Vedi, Kallu Singh, Subhash Adalkha and Amit Hindu etc. They also spoke about how these illegal migrant people have been causing pressure on the city and creating more slam areas in the vicinity of the city.
