Delhi High Court Demands AAP Government To Show Parking Place

The Delhi High Court warned the AAP Government to stay the decision to purchase 1,000 Buses. The Court said that the Delhi government had no plan for parking the buses. The Bench comprising of Justice Gita Mittal and J Hari Shankar questioned the Delhi Government and its Transport Corporation on how they plan to accommodate the new buses without any plan for their parking.

The bench also retorted asking the buses will fly in the sky. The bench also condemned the decision of Delhi state government to purchase standard buses. It said that the court will not allow discrimination towards physically handicapped people and argued to go with low-floor buses for the same purpose.

Delhi Government tried to justify that they have some parking place and will generate more space soon. The court said that land cannot be manufactured and it cannot be bought as easily as buses or potatoes. The court expressed concern about the fate of the buses without a proper parking place for them.

Delhi High court asked the AAP Government to show the parking plan for these buses by February 28, which is the next date of hearing. Failing to comply this demand, the court will be forced to stay the decision of AAP Government to purchase the buses, it added.
