The five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped on January 25 from a school bus in East Delhi, has been rescued by the Police after a brief fire exchange with the accused. Among the three accused, one person has been killed in the firing, another person got injured and is admitted to a hospital.
The third accused is arrested by the Police. The boy studying class 1 was handed over to the parents. According to a Police official, the accused have taken a flat on rent in Ghaziabad and kept the boy there. Police intercepted a man who was taking the information to the accused.
One of the accused Ravi started firing when he saw Police approaching them. A Police officer was injured due to this but was safe as he was wearing a bulletproof jacket.
Further, Ravi died in the retaliatory firing of the Police. Another accused Pankaj was injured in the exchange of fire. Third accused Nithin surrendered to the Police. The boy was kidnapped from a school bus in Delhi after shooting a bullet in the leg of the bus driver.
The kidnappers demanded an amount of Rs 70 lakh as ransom. Police have planned carefully and saved the boy. He was handed over to his family in the early hours of Tuesday.
