Tension prevailed outside the office of the Indian High Commission in London as there were clashes between the followers of Lord Nazeer Ahmed and the Indian/ British people. Lord Nazeer Ahmed, who is a pro-Pakistan peer in the house of the Lords in London, demanded to declare January 26 as a ‘Black Day.’
He demanded the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from the hands of India. He said that Pakistan and Khalistan have to be given freedom from the influence of India. The protests which came on the Indian Republic Day were meant to accuse India of oppression.
Some of the Indian and British groups objected to the slogans raised by the followers of Lord Nazeer Ahmed. There was a clash between the two groups which turned violent within a short time.

An Indian activist and writer in London said that he was a Kashmiri and he wants freedom from Pakistan occupied territories, freedom from proxy war and freedom from ceasefire violations.
He said that there is no sense in observing black day when Pakistan is creating more trouble for the people and disturbing the peaceful life of Kashmiris with terrorism and ceasefire violations.
Lord Nazir has the record of being a very controversial leader accused in a dangerous driving case and also ousted from the labor party for his contradictory views and sympathy towards terrorism.
