PM Narendra Modi and BJP mastermind Amit Shah have got every reason to cheer about as all the Exit Poll Surveys indicate BJP win in Assembly Elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. As far as Himachal Pradesh is concerned, be it ABP-CSDS, Zee News, News X, News Nation, Sahara Samay, Today’s Chanakya or India Today – BJP is expected to get 35-55 seats. It is thus clear that Congress dream of retaining power in Himachal Pradesh is certainly not going to be fulfilled as poor governance and corruption have played pivotal role in the state.
The case of Assembly Elections in Gujarat is little bit different altogether. Previously in pre-poll surveys, some of the survey results highlighted close contest between BJP and Congress. But as far as the final diktat is concerned, most Exit Poll surveys are saying that BJP will be able to comfortably retain the state and Congress will be able to increase their voting percentage.
Although Today’s Chanakya has predicted around 140 seats for BJP, other surveys have predicted the range between 90 odd to around 120. It remains to be seem whether BJP can match Amit Shah’s 150 seat mark. But definitely, if exit poll results are to be believed, BJP is yet again making a surgical strike against the Congress. Rahul Gandhi, who will have his coronation as Congress President on December 16, will have to brainstorm hard for a poor start to his ‘era’ in Congress.
