Rahul Gandhi approved the induction of TDP Working President into the Congress Party after a formal meeting on Tuesday evening. The TDP Leader offered to join Congress in the presence of AICC Vice President during a public meeting scheduled to happen in November.
It was Revanth Reddy who insisted on a meeting with Congress Vice President ahead of his admission. Telangana Congress in-charge Khuntia and T-PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy accompanied Revanth when he went to Rahul’s residence in New Delhi. After speaking with all of them, A one-on-one meeting between Rahul and Revanth lasted for five minutes. Feedback given by Revanth on the current state of T-Congress and suggestions made by him to strengthen the party were forwarded to the Campaign Committee.
Speculations are abuzz that Revanth Reddy demanded T-Congress Working President post for himself and few MLA tickets to his camp as well. These reports have been proven wrong with the latest update.
Actually, Rahul Gandhi gave a clear indication that there won’t be any assurances on posts to Revanth Reddy as of now. So, Revanth has no other option but to shift to Congress unconditionally. Aware of the Oratory Skills of Revanth Reddy, Congress Leadership is mulling to use his services extensively for the campaigning in 2019 Polls.
Meanwhile, Telangana TDP called for a meeting with party key leaders including Revanth Reddy post-Diwali. Whether or not, The Firebrand Leader attends this meeting is a million dollar question now.
