Fate of the Furious wins a second weekend at the box office

They aren’t quite as Furious as they once were, but they’re still making money.

Fate of the Furious dropped 60.8 percent in its second Weekend to take in $38.68M for a new domestic total of $163.57M. It’s definitely not living up to the past couple films in the U.S., but never fear, it is has taken in $744.8M foreign for a global total of $908.37M off of a $250M Budget.

The Boss Baby took in $12.75M in its third weekend for a domestic total of $136.99M. Combined with the foreign haul it now sits at $319.93M globally off of a $125M budget.

Beauty and the Beast landed in third with $9.97M for a new domestic total of $471.09M and sits at $1.1B globally off of a $160M budget.

Disney’s new nature documentary Born in China opened to $5.14M and a fourth place finish.

Fifth place went to Going in Style with $5M for a new global total of $50.86M off of a $25M budget.

This week will see The Circle and Sleight.

Curious how I think these films will do? Check out my The Movies of 2017 – 2nd Quarter report.
