Daniel Craig reportedly offered $150 million for more Bond films

Reportedly Sony Pictures is really keen on keeping Daniel Craig around for a few more outings as James Bond.

Following the conclusion of filming on Spectre, Craig has not been the biggest cheerleader for the Bond series and said many times that it would be his last outing as the spy. This has prompted wide speculation as to who might take over the role with names ranging from Idris Elba to Tome Hiddleston. Supposedly as many as seven actors have been under consideration.

According to Radar Online, however, Sony Pictures has decided to go back to Craig and make him a new offer of $150 million for two more films to essentially be filmed back to back. The plan would then call for a younger actor to take over the role in a third film to make for a bit more of a seamless transition.

There is no word on whether or not Craig is even considering taking the offer, that is if it’s even real. While Spectre was not the best of his run, I still enjoyed it simply because I enjoy him in the role. Some people think he is now too old for the role, but apparently they’ve never watched the last few of Roger Moore’s run.

Only time will tell if Daniel Criag sticks with the series, but I have a gut feeling he is at least considering it. It’s a little difficult to say no to $150M on the fly.
