WITHOUT WHY

Why does the Rose Blossom and bloom?  Because it does!
Why am I here?  Because I am!
Why is this happening?  Because it is!
I am here and it is now.
The precious, fragile gift of life
unfolding

The mystic Angelus Silesius (c. 1624 – 9 July 1677) said it beautifully when he wrote:

Die Ros ist ohn warum; sie blühet weil sie blühet, Sie acht nicht ihrer selbst, fragt nicht, ob man sie siehet.

The rose is without why; it blooms simply because it blooms. It pays no attention to itself, nor does it ask whether anyone sees it.

Today I will do my best to consciously witness what is,  as it is.
