With the Labor government in power, the Labour Unions are now more daring in making various demands. They know the government has their back.

This is bad for the economy and country as a whole. Labour unions often take an adversarial position against their employers.

Industries that have strong labour unions are highly likely to collapse. They can't survive when expose to market competition. 

The only ones that survive are those that run on taxpayers money like nurse and teacher unions.
