It is amazing how quickly the table is turned. When I was small, people looked down on China as being poor, backward and not so intelligent. Even only a few years ago, some in Malaysia would say "Balik tong sang" to Malaysian Chinese they don't like, which means something like go back to your Chinese village.

Now things are totally different. China seems to have all the money in the world. Our Malaysian prime minister is trying hard to lick their boots. Already, Malaysia took massive loans from them, begged them to buy our national car and various other things.

Meanwhile in Australia, people are more preoccupied with same Sex Marriage. Apparently those who support same sex marriage are progressive but unfortunately calling yourself progressive does not mean anything in the global arena.

One by one Australian companies close shop. Holden just stopped production. Australian car manufacturing is gone this week. The politicians have no idea how to steer the country. You wonder why they are there in the first place. Maybe for the fat salary and perks.

While Australia lost their ability to manufacture cars, China's own fifth generation stealth fighter planes become operational. Their leader announced they will aim to be world leader in 30 years. At the pace they are progressing I think it will be faster than that.
