Colorado Springs is Making Big Moves for Tiny Houses

If you’ve never heard of Tiny houses, you’re about to fall in love.  Tiny houses are classified as homes between 100-400 square feet, whereas normal-sized homes are around 2,600 square feet.  Tiny houses have increased in popularity over the last few years, and many people are selling their larger homes and embracing the tiny House life.  Tiny houses are significantly more affordable to live in, and encourage residents to live a simpler, more minimalist lifestyle.

Colorado Springs is one US city that has gotten behind the tiny house movement, and more and more Colorado Springs residents are taking an interest in these small homes.  If you’re interested in purchasing Colorado Springs real estate, perhaps a tiny house is in your future!

There are several contractors located in Colorado Springs that specialize in building tiny houses, and more and more tiny houses have been popping up in the area.  If you are looking to build your own tiny house instead of purchasing one, you’ll need to hire a contractor and go over different types of floor plan options.  Think about what’s most important to you in a house and if those things can be carried over into a tiny house.  For instance, plumbing is a very important part of any house, so making sure your tiny house can accommodate that is crucial.  Something else to take into consideration is your personal lifestyle.  If you have a big dog that requires a lot of room to run around, a tiny house may not be the right choice.  If you are living with more than one other person besides yourself, a tiny house may feel cramped.  Tiny houses are perfect for single people and couples, and living in such a small space can actually bring you closer and encourage bonding.

Tiny house living can be a good move for anyone looking to downsize and live a more minimalist life in a way that’s affordable and fun!  Don't you agree?

Until next time,
