Monica Morgan-Holiefield, the widow of former UAW Vice-President, plead guilty to tax evasion from a $1.5 million corruption scandal at Fiat. Authorities may drop the conspiracy charges and she may spend over 2 years in prison.

- 34-year-old Detroiter, Tyrone Walker, was charged with first-degree murder for shooting a man to death during an illegal drug deal.
- Three people driving home to Allen Park from a wedding stopped at a red light near Detroit. The car next them were saying something to the group. The driver rolled down his window to see what they wanted and asked, “What’s up?” People in the second car said, “What up, what do you mean what up, keep it moving.” As the group starting pulling away from the light, the second car fired 5 shots and one of the passengers was shot in the back.
- Detroit’s Animal Control found a young German Shepard with an infection from a climbing carabiner pierced through the skin of his neck, and a tow chain was hooked to that.
