Journey To Wellness

If you haven’t already worked it out, I am attempting a Journey to good health and wellbeing. I suffer from arthritic pains, headaches, food intolerance, recurring infections, anemia, and chronic fatigue. I’ve kind of given up on the medical profession to a degree. I seem to come away from appointments feeling more hopeless than when I went in. Therefore, recently, I decided to take some action for myself. Hence this blog, a journal of my progress (I hope!)

Through Plant Based nutrition, supplements, a more active lifestyle, and holistic treatments and a more of mindfullness I hope to achieve some kind of wellbeing and peace of mind. You are welcome to join me on this journey, give me tips should you have any.

I’ve made a big change to my way of eating, reducing any refined sugars out of my diet, cutting out any unnecessary dairy (apart from  live yogurts and milk kefir which are building up my friendly bacteria which I so desperately need at the moment) wheat and gluten. And upping my Plant based foods.

I also love to forage in milder seasons, we are surrounded by a multitude of goodness around us in our gardens, hedgerows and fields. Elderberries are great for cold/flu immunity and rosehips are good for heart/blood health for instance. Nettles, those stingy, ugly looking plants are not what you think, they have so much nutritional value, compared to many of our traditional fruit and veg, and full of vitamin c and iron!
