So, I saw when I logged onto Blogger just now that my last post was October 20th, over two months ago. That made me sad, because the truth of the matter is that I seem to have lost my voice. Not literally, but figuratively.

I could just say I've been too busy to blog, but I've watched countless and I do mean countless, Hallmark Christmas movies. I could have blogged while watching.

I could just say I have nothing to blog about, but in fact I could have written a post about those Hallmark Christmas movies and why I find them so appealing.I could have also written about the gazillion other things I've done in the past two months, but I just didn't.

I started this blog when my middle child, Caitlin, left for college in South Carolina and the distance left me with a hole to fill in my life. And I filled it by blogging. The truth is, I like blogging. I know it is no longer the in thing to do. Today everyone is into Snapchat and Instagram - but I like things with a little more permanence. I like the idea of being able to look back and reread what I was thinking about something at the time it happened.So blogging still works for me.

So I guess what I am saying is that I'm hoping to get back on a more regular schedule so that you, my readers, all 2 or 3 of you, will know what I am up to and what's on my mind.
