May already?! Wha...?! WAKE UP, PLEASE!

AAAAaaaaand ladies and germs, it's May! Jeebus! What's been happening?? Still not a great deal with me, though I lately have been working on some music stuff for potential international projects, but since these aren't confirmed yet (fingers tightly, tightly crossed), I won't say too much! All I will say is that I hope one or the other or both of these projects pan out, because it would be great to get my foot in the international door. We shall see.

In the meantime, as of Wednesday (two days ago) we've officially been back in lockdown (MCO), round three, grrr arrgh gnash!! We have absolutely no idea what the leaders of this country are doing, and this pandemic situation seems to be non-stop. Theatres were only just opening up again, and now this. So... once again, any local projects I had planned are on hold (and make no mistake, there are some projects planned). The coffers in the bank are virtually nonexistent at this point, so I really need to figure out how I'm going to move forward financially (and spiritually/emotionally) in my life. Sigh. Wish me luck.

It hasn't been completely dry creatively, though. Recently I worked on a new 10-minute musical with my dear friend Chris Ling and a mutual writer friend, Khairi, to help raise funds for a small local theatre company here. We managed to film the show at Lot'ng Arts Space, Chris's theatre company's venue, and we have the always wonderful Tria Aziz in the lead role of Teja, a woman who is given one last chance to reflect on the love she shared with her only son and vice-versa. If you're interested, do check out the video below, in its entirety. The interesting thing about this score, I think, is that I've incorporated the sound of an EKG device throughout, as an integral part of the music. Whether it works, or whether it's just annoying, is really up to you to decide... but I do hope you enjoy it:
