Message from Horizon - A Poem

It was a January night
Foggy, cold and damp
Was difficult to see through
But then I saw a little lamp
And began to walk...

Was bone chilling, cold & breezy
But since I loved the winter season
I thought it would be easy
Didn't care about my bruises & lesions
And kept on walking...

As I went further in the dark
Lamp seemed to flutter & flicker
Felt stranded but didn't lose heart
Found my legs travelling quicker
Journey went on...

Then I decided to stop for a while
Opened my arms in Shahrukh style
Allowed the breeze to caress my face
Realised the truth - Life is not a Race

I looked up at the horizon

Arms stretched & wide open
Facing stunning, golden rising sun

Then I started to walk again
With no trace of agony or pain
Found myself enveloped in a golden glow
With an important message of going slow
