T-Minus 17 Days

It's time to answer one of those questions that I requested.
The first one up is from my dear and talented friend, kden.

Back in 2016, I had surgery to get my single-sided deafness fixed.
One of the main reasons I don't talk about it that much is because I don't hardly notice it except when I am not wearing it and I try to wear it most of the time.
Unfortunately, I have noticed it quite a bit lately because I did something really dumb.
This blog is called Confessions of a Dumb, White Guy for a reason.
I guess it's time to confess.
My Baha (bone-anchored hearing aid) device accidentally went through the washing machine.
And it's pretty much ruined.
I need to get a new one but I have to work with the Insurance company to get everything sorted out.
Unfortunately, the insurance companies are a little busy right now and my BAHA isn't at the top of their priority list.
Fortunately, my audiologist gave me a loaner to use until I can get a new one.
My little accident is going to cost me a few bucks but I am grateful that I can get it replaced and it could be a whole lot worse.
Is that a good answer, kden?

I really tried to inject some humor in this post but it's hard because I am sort of depressed that my stupidity forgetfulness is going to cost me.

Or maybe I was set up?

Come back tomorrow for the exciting conclusion to this riveting tale.
But don't get your hopes up.
I will probably talk about something else and throw up some GIFs like this one:

I hope to do better tomorrow.
Stay safe, take care and thanks for being there.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat. - F. Scott Fitzgerald
