Flying

It’s more than possible for you to fly just about anywhere when you are in Malaysia. This is all thanks to AirAsia. They provide very low-cost travel and when you look at Firefly travel as well, you’ll soon find that you can travel to more than 18 destinations with ease. This includes flying across the peninsula and even travelling to the far east of Malaysia as well. You can even have breakfast in Georgetown before you travel to the Borneo rainforest by lunch. Anything is possible and a lot of the flights are no-frills as well so you won’t ever end up paying more than you need. It’s as simple as that and you can easily hop from one destination to another.

Fair Taxis

A lot of drivers in Malaysia use meters to track how much the cost is going to be. The main thing that you have to watch out for here is that some taxi drivers are not licensed, and they won’t turn their meter on when you are travelling with them. This is so they can get more money from the people who are travelling with them and it can cause you real issues if you don’t know how to spot them. When you do choose to travel by taxi, it helps to make sure that the taxi that you are getting into is fully licensed and it also helps to make sure that they are turning the meter on as soon as you set off so you can avoid any extra charges. Some taxi drivers will even allow you to haggle the price as well, and this is a great way to keep the price down. If you are unsure about getting a taxi, make sure that you download a Malaysian booking app, as this is a great way to get connected with reputable drivers.

You Can Never Get Enough Milo

Did you know that Malaysia has the biggest Milo factory in the world? Ever since the 1950’s, Malaysia has been the biggest consumer of the drink (that is made from malt and cocoa). This drink is sold in local fast food restaurants and it is even sold in the local coffee shops as well. You can have this drink over ice and you can have it hot as well, and you probably won’t be able to go very far without seeing someone with a cup-full. Some providers even choose to make a Milo Godzilla, which is a Malaysian drink that consists of Milo with whipped cream on top. If that isn’t enough to make your mouth water, nothing will.

“Bacon” Isn’t Always Bacon

If you like to start off your morning with a bacon sandwich then you may experience some disappointment. Malaysia is classed as being one of the top three Muslim-friendly destinations in the world and therefore a lot of the food there has to meet certain requirements. A lot of the bacon served at buffets is actually made out of turkey, beef or even chicken for this very reason. If you do have a hankering for bacon or pork in general then the best thing that you can do is travel to Penang as this is known for its Chinese-run restaurants. It is very easy for you to find an open property or hotel in this area, as it is a very rich tourist destination.

Next To Ireland, They Have the Greatest Guinness

Did you know that Guinness is actually brewed in over 50 countries? Malaysia is known for having some of the best Guinness around and they even have the trophies to back this up as well. They were awarded the Guinness League of Excellence award and they have been given this over 5 consecutive years as well. This just goes to show that if you are a fan of Guinness, that you should certainly be planning your trip to Malaysia, because it really does have the best in the world (next to Ireland!).

Duty-Free

Malaysia has a ton of stunning islands and that includes Langkawi. If you want to go on a travelling adventure then you have already found the right place. The problem is that the excess that is paid on beer is the second highest in the entire world and this means that you need a serious budget if you plan on drinking here. There are islands however, such as Labuan and even Tioman that have zones that are completely tax-free. These are also some of the most beautiful islands in the world, so you really can benefit from paying areas like this a visit.

Wildlife

It is a well-known fact that Malaysia is home to over 20% of the world’s species. It has ecosystems that are so rich and diverse that nothing else can compare, and if you are a fan of nature or wildlife then it could be your dream come true. The diversity is all natural and the Amazon Rainforest is nothing when compared to it. The Amazon Rainforest is 55 million years old, but when you look at Taman Negara in Malaysia, you’ll find that this is over 130 million years old. It is even said to be the world’s oldest area. There are also a huge range of natural parks as well so if you want to see wildlife up close then this is one of the best ways for you to do that. You can even see elephants and orangutans walking free in the wild, and this is a stunning sight to say the least. The waters around Sipadan are also some of the finest in the world, and they also have some of the best diving spots so if you want to see aquatic wildlife then this is certainly something that you don’t want to miss out on.
