Barry White – Baby, We Better Try And Get It Together (Other Video)

Tags: barry chart music

Peak UK Chart Position: #15 in September 1976.

Hard to believe that Barry White once got jailed for stealing $30,000 worth of Cadillac tyres. He was only 16 at the time, mind – and while in jail, he heard the Elvis Presley track “It’s Now Or Never” on the radio which he credited with changing the course of his life.

“Baby, We Better Try And Get It Together” was the third and final track released from the album “Let The Music Play” (although the album only contained six tracks!), and was at number 15 for a second week on the charts on this day in 1976.

Barry sadly died on 4th July 2003, having suffered a severe stroke two months previous which had forced him to retire from public life. No actual video footage of this single seems to exist, so enjoy the track over a still image of the cover.
