Cinnamon & Sugar Popcorn

Tags: popcorn sugar

I can't hardly call this a recipe. It's more, ingredients you already have mixed together. But oh boy, it makes one delicious healthy snack.

You may remember my Misto Popcorn Recipe, where I introduced you to one of my favorite kitchen tools, the Misto. It turned a once unhealthy dish into something healthy and guilt free, forever revolutionizing your home movie and popcorn night.

But what happens when you crave a sweeter version? If you're like me, you might have a craving for Kettle corn every daily every now and then. While this is no healthy kettle corn, it does satisfy that sweet popcorn tooth with a bit of cinnamon and sugar.

At 150 calories I got 4 cups of popped popcorn and zero guilt.

YOU'LL NEED
What you'll need to pull this off is an air popper machine, popcorn (I used Trader Joe's Organic Seeds to eliminate GMOs.) a misto tool or your favorite flavor of PAM (I recommend the butter flavored one), your favorite cinnamon, and either a packet of artificial sweetener or 2 tsp of granulated sugar (I used NuNaturals Stevia blend).

THE METHOD
As the popcorn falls out of the air popper into your bowl, spray a one to two second spray of the misto over the first layer of popcorn.
Give your cinnamon shaker one or two shakes over the bowl.
Wait a few seconds and repeat after more popcorn  has fallen out.
Once all your popcorn is popped, sprinkle half a teaspoon of sugar over all the popcorn.
If you don't think the sugar is sticking try adding a little more oil from the misto.
Stir the popcorn and repeat until it is sufficiently sweet.
Eat with both hands while cuddled in a blanket next to your Honey.

XOXO!
