Trio, Far From Who We Are, ‘Rise’ with new single

Johannesburg-based band Far From Who We Are just released their new single, ‘Rise.’

The dark, yet uplifting song delivers a positive message about escaping a Difficult Situation. The Band explains: “it’s about escaping a dark place or difficult situation and finding the strength to get back up and rise above it.”

Far From Who We Are’s energetic performance in the video for ‘Rise’ is in stark contrast to the dark background, echoing the message of rising from darkness. The band’s video perfectly visualises the struggle, attesting to the band’s fighting spirit. Johan explained that the Trio is a ‘live performance band’ at its core. The video was a chance for the three to get together and perform again as a band following COVID-19.
