Future Radio releases ‘Run Baby Run’

Future Radio releases their second single from upcoming debut album ‘Freedom’

‘Run Baby Run’ is the second single release from Future Radio’s debut album ‘Freedom’, scheduled for release on 13 November 2020. It is an upbeat rock classic with heavy drums, a solid bassline, and a catchy chorus. The song is about a relationship that has reached the ‘comfort zone’ for both lovers.

“Metaphorically the song plays with the idea of the escape from Sodom and Gomorrah, a rather do-or-die situation,” says frontman Johnny Future. “I generally don’t like comfort zones and try my best to avoid them,” he continues.

About ‘Freedom’

‘Freedom’ is a project of Johhny Future, frontman of Future Radio. It is envisioned as a concept album that combines, music, animation, and storytelling. It deals with the notion of emancipation from the unexceptional and encourages the passionate pursuit of purpose. The band will release a music video for every track, and every video will represent an episode, forming part of Season 1: Freedom.

“I clearly remember thinking to myself, when conceptualising Future Radio, that it can’t be just another rock band. Since then, the idea has evolved quite dramatically,” Johnny explains. Future Radio redesigns storytelling through a mixture of word, music, and visuals. “Future Radio is not a band, it’s a concept, it’s a movement, it’s art. We like to call it Future Rock.”

Similar to what’s to come, the ‘Run Baby Run’ music video is conceptualised as an animated episode. The animation was done by Drikus Roets, visual designer and co-founder of Future Radio.

‘Run Baby Run’ is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
