We Can Only Live Our Own Lives

We all have family and friends that we Love, want the best for, and are so very willing to be there in their time of need, and……..even when there isn’t a need.

But is it good for us?  Is it good for them?  Is our valuable advice really for them, or possibly it could be for us. For something that has edged it’s way in to our Lives unaware completely.

Is our hurt for us displaced?  We’re hurting for them?

Sometimes, not all the times our advice and ideas should be heeded for ourselves.  Each problem is like a car…..  Huh???  Follow me on this.  I’m not a car enthusiast are anything like that, so I’ll put it in terms I can understand.  And this isn’t a mechanical problem either.

Follow me;  we’ve got this car, let’s say it’s a Ford and we have engine troubles and the engine needs to be replaced.  We can’t put a Fiat engine in a Ford car…..the Ford isn’t designed to have the Fiat engine in it, only a Ford engine is gonna fix the problem.  Your friend, relative, loved one’s problem is the Ford, your solution is the Fiat.  They don’t actually fit.

Okay, let me try this way.  A friend, relative or love one comes to me with the problem that they really don’t like their job and they are boo hooing on me.  So, I say,…….why not be a writer. Write a blog, write articles, write a book!  Write!  Do it now and slowly make your transition.  Nothing.  The individual gives me a half smile and a ‘yeah that sounds good’ response.  At the same time, I’m not happy with my line of work and would like more freedom to pursue my goals and ambitions. VIOLA!!!  But…..am I listening to my own advice???  Finally I’m writing my blog and a book with 2 other ideas to work on!!!!

Some people, no matter how much we care are not gonna make the change.  The problems that they have with whatever it is in life has become their status quo, they just want to belly ache to a willing victim.

Take the time and think back at all the ‘time’ you gave to these people and how many have heeded your advice.  Now look at you and see if you’re still in your same predicament. Are you?

If you are, take your own advice because, you see……We Can Only Live Our Own Lives.
