Reading. I like reading and I do a fair amount of reading but, I don’t read novels although I did read a ‘memoir’ once and it was riveting and lead me to tears. I thoroughly enjoyed!
Most of my reading is very varied and I don’t have a favorite author, and as you can tell from above, I’ve never read the Harry Potter Books.

My reading is for me, for my enjoyment, for my personal growth, for my education….not to impress anyone. As a matter of fact, you can ask me what and whom I’m reading at any one moment and I probably won’t be able to honestly answer you yet, my Kindle Fire has a book open, my MacBook Air has a book open, and my iPhone has a book open. Yes, that’s 3 books, 3 different books.
Of all my books, I have only 2 that I’ve read more than once and another that I’ll be reading thru for the 2nd time and those 2 books are paperback books. While I’m here I must say that I prefer a ‘hard copy’ over a digital copy.
Reading….
Those 2 paperback books are “Damn! Why Didn’t I Write That?” by Marc McCutcheon and the other is “Write It Down, Make It Happen.” by Henriette Anne Klauser. These 2 books, I just love and get so much out of.
So, if I prefer ‘hard copy’ over ‘digital’, why don’t I have more than 2 ‘hard copy’ books. Simple answer to this….I can’t possibly carry the ‘LARGE’ number of books I have in my digital library (which I’ll get to in a moment).
I’ve downsized my status when I’m here in the United States so I can’t possibly hold on to as many books as I’d like and when I’m not here, I’m abroad somewhere. So digital is the most convenient and logical library for me. But, maybe one day I’ll have another home library…..maybe.
As of this morning on October 8, 2019 I have 564 digital books!! And I’d say 98% of them are FREE!!!
I use 3 book services which are intertwined….or I should say are sourced by Amazon.com.
Ready, set, read….
The first one I found with inexpensive books is http://www.bookbub.com. A few are Free here, but most are about $1.99, some at $.99 and the rest are $2.99 and above. This site was my first other than Amazon’s $.99 category (which I didn’t get much from).
The other and most used site that I use is https://www.freebooksy.com. The name says it!!! Free Books!!! This is the site I get the majority of my books whether I need them at the moment or not. That’s why I have 564 books in my library and counting!!
The 3rd one as I mentioned above is Amazon.com.
All my books eventually come from Amazon.com, although than can be sourced thru iBooks, Nook, and a couple others….but most thru Amazon.com. Incase you don’t have a Kindle, you can download Kindle Reader for Free from your app store or amazon.com.

Go forth and read!
