Time. I took some time off last week. I enjoyed myself. Not that I don’t usually enjoy myself, but this was being really selfish.
And I like it!
This thing about time, while I’m on it…. it’s weird. Really!!!! Think about this for a moment.

We can be ‘on’ time. Take time ‘off’. Is there some sort of switch?
Nah…..I’m not going there. There’s not enough ‘time’.
So, I took some time off last week. I took time away from most everything I do and just did ‘nothing’. I thoroughly enjoyed myself too. The only thing that I did do plenty of was play music….I had plenty of practice that I had to run thru and yet, I should have done more.
For Starters This Week…
Focus and determination.
Focus is my goal and determination is my energy. I’m focused on starting work on my next CD. Recording starts Tuesday, September 10th… I’m determined to do this, see it thru to completion. I’ve been just wallowing around for the past 7 years constantly ‘working’ on it, only in word, not
I like this….
Time
Focus and determination. For me, I have a lot of stuff going on with the CD, photography, writing and traveling. Focus and determination are essential. Everything I have is tied up with dates for accomplishments….(there are starting dates too!) and those 2 elements are what it’s gonna take. I will not let myself down. The ‘stuff’ that I mention above is the ‘stuff’ I enjoy doing…..no punishment there, well my fingers are a bit sore from practice and the calluses are coming about.
I Took Some Time Off Last Week
Focus and determination. Grab a hold of ’em and roll baby, roll.
Quotes…
“Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not. ”
― Pablo Picasso
“Every morning, look in the mirror and affirm positive words into your life.” – Lailah Gifty Akita
“There are two great rules of life; the one general and the other particular. The first is that everyone can, in the end, get what he wants, if he only tries. That is the general rule. The particular rule is that every individual is, more or less, an exception to the rule.” Samuel Butler
Fun!!!!
Sometimes my focus on fun comes after some sobering thoughts. As time moves on I have become a bit more reflective of my life. I don’t dwell and to an extent I don’t regret the history I’ve lived, I rather try and focus on now and do better. I am really about having fun.
In today’s society, it’s getting more difficult to have fun…..at least that’s what I’m observing. This virtual life via the internet and social media have given a lot of people ‘power’. It’s up to each of us to limit that ‘power’ that they have in our lives. If you don’t think that they exercise any, go back and review your posts.

Personally, I decided a long time ago that what others say is of no matter to me. They don’t pay my bills, sleep with me, feed me, etc. They just don’t matter.
Vocabulary…
I’m working on growing mine. I do this periodically as a concentrated effort. But, it can easily be done on a regular basis just by reading.
I’m guilty of looking at the context that a word is in and going from there. But, I think I can do better. What we speak is very powerful and it shows our intent, desires, and aspirations. Make your words count!!!
One More Thought…
I watched part of an interview with Joe Piscopo. He was referring to the Deborah Messing and Eric McCormack ‘black listing’ they are proposing and how the general public would be surprised that these two are not the norm in Hollywood. They actually put themselves too far out on a limb and started sawing the branch. He said that this sort of stuff is going to fade, especially should Donald Trump win in 2020 by what he anticipates will be a landslide. Hmmmmmmm.
Check out Joe Piscopo https://www.facebook.com/jrzyjoepiscopo/ . You’ll get a good dose of positivity!!!
See ya back here tomorrow!!!!
Peace, love, and beaches,
