Welcome To The Weekend 8/23-25

Welcome to the weekend…..this edition is gonna be a bit abbreviated. I’ve a full morning and I’m running a bit late.

Here’s the weekend:

I’m starting mine a bit later than usual, stayed undercover a bit longer than usual and it was quite enjoyable.

Starting off listening to Eric Clapton.

My weekend is gonna be active….I’ve got the lawn to mow and…..AND!!!!! I’m saying this excitedly I’m practicing on the tunes for my upcoming CD!!!! I’m going back to some of my demos that I’d worked up for the CD from a while back and having to relearn the songs!!! Some sort of way I’ve lost the lyric sheets, notes and music. It’s a challenge!!! Yet, I surprised myself yesterday by tackling what I consider to be the hardest song (also according to a couple producers in Nashville, a boring song…I think not!) with lots of chord changes and those chords are not chords I normally would use (but, I picked ’em out) and timing changes!!!!

Hopefully recording will start by the end of next week!!!

As for you and what’s going on in your community this weekend, you’re on your own!

At the movies…..

“47 Meters Down” featuring Sistine Stallone(Sly’s daughter) and Corrine Foxx (Jamie’s daughter). There’s a lot of weakness in this movie but it has nothing to do with Sistine or Corrine. They both did a fine job. The cinematography could’ve been better, and perhaps a better plot but, I made it thru the movie!! Sometimes I couldn’t tell what was going on!!!

I’m not gonna share the goodies of the movie here….it gets rather dramatic and on the verge of believable.

It’s a ‘shark’ movie!

I do think that these two young ladies have a very good future awaiting them as actresses.

I Love Quotes…..

Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here.” ― Neil Gaiman

“If you’ve never done what you’ve really wanted to do remember you have fewer days today than yesterday.” Me

“Life is too short to waste any amount of time on wondering what other people think about you. In the first place, if they had better things going on in their lives, they wouldn’t have the time to sit around and talk about you. What’s important to me is not others’ opinions of me, but what’s important to me is my opinion of myself.”

Weekend!!!

Something Interesting……

It seems that aliens may be traveling thru ‘Black Holes’!!!!

I know!!! I thought nothing could escape ‘Black Holes’, but evidently we don’t know enough about ‘Black Holes’ and we definitely don’t know much about alien’s capabilities. Something that seems to have caught us all by surprise. As a matter of fact, it seems that NASA is crediting aliens in discovering 2 ‘Black Holes’ merging (they didn’t say colliding) and new shit from that.

This is a BIGGIE folks. Pay closer attention!!!!

My Experience…..

I wrote a while back about keeping ‘advice’ to one’s self because, it’s rarely heeded. Plus there’s a risk of blaming us for the results. After all, a half-ass effort will net half-ass results.

I broke my advice and gave some advice to a young wanna be ‘famous’ internet music sensation. All he was doing was barely okay covers of guitar solos. I gave him some really good advice based on all my years of experience. I thought it was good solid advice. But, he’s too busy posting barely okay covers of guitar solos.

So, I took my own advice!!! Yep, I actually listened to my own self for a change. I think that a lot of times we ignore what we say because we believe it’s intended for someone else. And I recalled once telling a story of where the idea originates is where it’s intended.

That’s where I’m taking my own advice. No, I don’t post and clumsy played cover guitar solos. But, I do have and have had a New CD in the works and for some reason, I keep extending this thing. I’m taking my own advice and working daily on my music, practicing and setting small goals to achieve my goal. A finished CD by March.

But, not just finishing…..it’s gonna be a rocker and its full of catchy melodies, solos (original), harmonies, etc.

I’ll keep you posted!

I just realized that I posted something similar last week!!!

Shazzam!!!

Anyway, I’ve engaged the plan and moving forward!

Peace, love, and beaches,

John
