I do like to have my picture taken….but, I don’t do it too often mostly because I don’t have my remote for my camera (Nikon) or I don’t have one of my two selfie sticks. I’m a bit concerned to give my camera or my phone to a stranger, they may run off with it!!! But, I’ve figured that out. Find an elderly person (preferably a couple) that is overweight…..I figure they aren’t gonna outrun me. Hehehehe
So, what am I gonna do now that I’m here!!!
Well, I’m not near the tourist attractions as usual. So the first thing I do is unpack (charging my camera battery), relax and check out my room and a map (usually on my iPhone) of the surrounding area before heading out. It’s my usual routine.
So, my first thing I’m doing in Paris is walking the neighborhood and finding a bite to eat. There’s McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC and a few sandwich shops nearby but, I want to sit down, glass of wine and a nice French meal.
So, it was. I had a quarter cut chicken in wine sauce, some veggies and of course a glass of red wine, I love red. I haven’t found a white that I really like nor a rose’. I’ll keep trying.

Paris…..as well as most of France is known for its artist. Visiting The Louvre, everywhere I turned there were art students sketching something. And, they were quite good at their craft…..sometimes they would be in large groups like they were a class field trip, other times coupled or alone. It seemed to me that the one’s alone were the more talented, they weren’t interested in company or anyone’s approval. They had purpose.
In the below photo, look closely to the bottom left behind the statue and you can see an art student sketching The Venus de Milo!! There’s 2 students there and I really didn’t want any students in the picture…..that was the best shot I could get. I’ll have to do some editing.
So, that’s a bit of an introduction of what’s to come in my visit to Paris…..tomorrow we’ll visit The Eiffel Tower.
