Jewellery Review: Bloody Mary Metal

It's been a long time since my last jewellery review as I tend to be rather picky when it comes to accessories. However, when one of my favourite jewellery brands got in touch to see if I'd be interested in trying out their product, I couldn't jump fast enough. This is my review of Bloody Mary Metal.

I've admired Bloody Mary Metal* from afar for years now. As someone labeled an 'alternative blogger', it's hardly surprisingly that they often appear on my Instagram feed, often on beautiful tattooed bodies and hands. Founded by Lucy in Cornwall back in 2012, the brand seems to have gone from strength to strength; expanding their handmade collection and selling signature bespoke pieces for engagements and weddings.

Choosing a product was pretty hard as there's so many piece I'd wanted for so long. I was always nervous about purchasing from BMM as, being a small business, I was worried about purchasing the wrong size and then not being able to wear the item. Luckily, this was a little more risk free but thankfully, they also offer Plastic Ring and Sizer guide which is perfect if you're looking to buy one of their more expensive pieces.

Did I opt for a super gothy Tooth or Cross Bones ring? Well, after much deliberation, I ended up picking out something just as pretty but way more sparkly. Lucky for me, the sizing was very accurate and so the Ice Heart Ring* from the Dark Side range fits like a charm. One of the things I love about it in particular is the delicate little details. Whilst it's hard to see from the photos, it actually has tiny bones around the outside of the heart - totally in keeping with the gothic, alternative style of the brand. I think it works really well as an everyday jewellery item, but equally I've known some people to have it as their engagement ring. That said, if anyone fancies buying me this in 24ct Gold in a size L, I'm totally open to that.

Well, that's it for another jewellery review. Have you tried Bloody Mary Metal yet? What's your favourite piece from their collection? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones below. Huge thanks to Bloody Mary Metal for this beautiful ring - I can't wait to get more pieces now I know my size!

Until next time,
