Looking back at 2014 + Plans & goals for 2015

First of all: today's New Year's Eve! I hope you all had beautiful 2014! And I hope 2015 will be even better!

2014 to me was a year full of surprises and nice experiences. I enjoyed it a lot and would like to look back at what were the highlights of every month.

January

In january I was obsessed with geocaching. Even though it was cold in the Netherlands, I still got on my bike and went for the hunt. I discovered many new places in the neighborhood, these are good experiences.

February

In February I decided to go to the lithuanian embassy in Den Haag, the Netherlands, to participate in national dictation contest. It was loads of fun meeting other lithuanians in the Netherlands, and also to see how much of the lithuanian language I still knew.

March

The end of february and the beginning of march meant one thing - carnival! I Love carnival and I couldn't imagine my life without it, haha!

My friend Evy, the owner of http://mbfl.blogspot.com (left) and me (right), celebrating carnival.

Also, March was the month of the start of the spring, which meant I had to take my camera and take pictures. I really like some of them, so here they are:

April

April was a month with even more photography and also vacation in Portugal. I fell in love with Portugal, it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. If you ever decide to go to Portugal - visit Sintra and go to Quinta da Regaleira and Castelo dos Mouros. If you're interested in architecture - visit Palácio da Pena.

Here are some pictures I took in April:

And here are some pictures of the beautiful Portugal:

Lisbon (looking like Rio de Janeiro & San Francisco, haha)

May

May was a warm month and I spent a lot of my time outside, just enjoying the weather. I also decided to go to a museum - Centraal Museum in Utrecht. I like minimalism and I like De Stijl and Piet Mondriaan and Gerrit Rietveld. I took a few pictures of some works too. Oh, and I also realized I'm really freaked out by surrealism.

The famous chair by Gerrit Rietveld

The dress of the right kinda reminded me of this dress by Alexander McQueen.

Love this wall

Yup, surrealism creeps me out.

June

June was the month of FIFA World Cup. I used to play football myself, so I love football. And I love partying, dressing up and putting crazy make-up on my face for fun. So why not?

Me and my friends celebrating the victory of the Netherlands. (NL 5 - 1 Spain)

Also, in june me and my boyfriend started dating.♡  (NL 2 - 1 Mexico)

July

To me, July is the month of Rosrock. Rosrock is a local rock festival in Rossum, the Netherlands. I love Rosrock and have been there three times now. My favorite band, Honningbarna (they're from Norway), comes there too. That's actually how I found out about this band.

Hugging the lead singer & cello player of Honningbarna - Edvard Valberg.

On a picture with amazing chicks from Sweden - Tiger Bell.
Suddenly I was off the ground.

Let's not forget about the semi-final game the Netherlands played in FIFA World Cup against Argentina. Me and my Boyfriend took this very serious...

Also in july me and my boyfriend went on Schiphol Behind the Scenes tour. We both love planes (I love them because they fly and because they're awesome and because I like airports and even considered becoming stewardess or Air Traffic Controller. He loves planes, because he works with the planes, fixing them and such)! Again, here are some pictures I took at Schiphol.

Air Traffic Control Tower. I still dream of working there one day.

The cockpit of (I believe) Fokker 90, which can be found at Panorama Terrace at Schiphol.

The biggest and most modern passenger plane - Airbus A380. This one is from UAE.

Also, my boyfriend and me visited the bench from The Fault in Our Stars.

Aaaand we went to see some planes again, this time at Aviodrome in Lelystad.

And of course, I had to get into a motor of a plane.

August

In August my best friend from Lithuania came to visit me for two weeks. On the 1st of August my boyfriend and I went to Eindhoven Airport to get her.

We visited Amsterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Maastricht, went to Efteling and did even more fun things, like putting face masks on our faces on and taking funny pictures.

Me and Liveta after paintball.

Later in August my boyfriend and I decided to visit fort Pampus. So we did it!

While waiting for our boat to bring us back to civilization, we decided to try Jenna Marbles' panorama tag. Hilarious!

Creepy man in the back, how did he get on the picture two times??

September

In september my boyfriend and I decided to do some funny challenges and to film it. I'm still "busy" editing the first one, haha!

Us after filming 2 truths 1 lie challenge.

In September Stefan (my boyfriend) also made me many delicious breakfasts.

And we baked an apple pie while wearing this huge T-Shirt:

We also went to Appelpop festival in Tiel and had loads of fun at the performance of Van Velzen.

Too bad video doesn't want to work...

 October

In october I went to Rome and later to Vilnius, Lithuania. Both of them were amazing and I had loads of amazing experiences there, like visiting my first escape room ever.

Me at Colosseum in Rome.
Sipping coffee in from of Gediminas Tower in Vilnius, to keep myself warm.

More pictures from my vacations in Italy & Lithuania can be found here.

And let's not forget: in October I started this blog! I'm so happy to get the comments from you guys, it means a lot to me!

November

November was a busy month for me, especially with school. I had an important test/exam week, had to finish my final paper (Dutch: profielwerkstuk), and had to retake two exams. So I didn't have that much fun, had to stay serious. But in November I bought a new phone: General Mobile Discovery Elite. I had iPhone 4s, but was dealing with sound problems. So I decided to buy a Huawei, but came home with GM, because this phone is amazing.

And I also decided to go back to gym and workout, especially training my abdominals and also working out on a treadmill.

December

December has been great: I celebrated Sinterklaas and received many presents. As a senior I also had the opportunity to go to school as a Black Peter on the 5th of December.

In december I also celebrated Christmas and my own birthday. For my birthday I went to a sushi restaurant with my boyfriend. He thought he hated sushi until he tried it. Now he wants to go there again, hihi!

On the first day of Christmas we went to Schiphol to spot some planes and see them landing.

Tonight I'm celebrating New Year with Stefan and his family, we will be playing games all night and I'm so excited!

And that's how 2014 was for me. I'm so blessed I was able to travel this much, because I love traveling and visiting new places. Of course I have plans and goals for next year as well. I believe the best way to make your wishes become reality, is by writing them down. So here are my wishes, goals & plans for 2015:
Get my driver's license. In January I'll start with the lessons.
Graduate. Although this seems a bit impossible to me because of certain subjects, I need to believe I can do it.
Start studying. If by any chance I'll graduate with a good grade for maths, I'll try to become air traffic controller. Otherwise, I'll probably study International Business and Languages.
Travel. I want to visit Greece and maybe go to Portugal again.
Keep blogging. I love blogging. I hope this year I'll get more followers and more comments on my posts.
❒  Stay healthy. I'm already eating healthier: I use much less sugar and I already see the difference when I look at my skin. I also want to keep being active and sporting. Also, I don't want to get sick.
Learn how to cook. I'm a huge disaster at the kitchen and I barely ever cook anything. I want to change that.
Go to more concerts/festivals. I love music and I'd like to go see more of my favorite bands live.
Be happy and enjoy every second.

Since it's the last day of 2014, I want to wish you all a very happy new year. I hope all of your wishes come true. I hope you'll enjoy the year, stay healthy, inspired and happy.

How was 2014 for you? What are your highlights of last year? What are your goals and wishes for 2015?

~xoxo~
