Update! Thomas is 9 months old!

Thomas is nine months old today! I feel like the time has flown and that he was just born yesterday. I feel like I’ve grown into a different person and I’ve developed a new outlook on life by discovering a lot of things about myself! There hasn’t really been an update lately other than on social media so here we go!

Stats:

Weight and Height: 19 lbs 11.4 oz and 27.16 inches

Clothing Size: 12-18 months

Teeth: 5 total, 3 on the top and 2 on the bottom.

Eating/Feeding:

We LOVE the Century Dine On 4-in-1 Highchair! Thank you to Century for sending it to us for a feature on our blog!

Sleep:

We nap once or twice through the day depending and over the last few weeks will just NOT sleep at night. It often takes a lot of comforting to get him to sleep. Even still, he often will not go down until 11-12 pm sometimes with hours of rocking and comforting prior.  I am trying so hard to get him into a routine, we had 5 teeth come through in a very short time so suspect that is some of his fussiness and sleep regression.

Development:

We can pull ourselves up into a standing position, we crawl but only for things we REALLY want, and can slightly move our walker if we really want something. He LOVES playing with his lip and tries to play with other people’s lips. He waves with his foot when people wave and LOVES dancing when holding onto things. We have decided we no longer like our jumper and we plan on getting rid of it soon.

What Do We Love?

We love music, bouncing, food, and is a total Daddy’s boy! My stepfather is a musician and Thomas LOVES watching him. He is almost mesmerized by the music!

Postpartum and Motherhood:

I gained only 11 lbs my entire pregnancy but somehow motherhood has caused me to gain 25 lbs. I’m struggling with it mentally and had a total meltdown when I had to go up a pants size. I found out after going to PT for my chronic pain that I have a mild abdominal wall tear which I was told isn’t unusual so I’ve been doing exercises for that. I am doing a lot better with the PDD and can’t wait to get out walking as soon as the ice melts!

I plan to do another update around the 1-year mark!
