Why I Keep A Bottle Of Desert Harvest Aloe Vera Gele In My Kitchen

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I am a clumsy person so I am always burning my self in the kitchen, a good friend of mine who is also a fellow Kitchen Witch suggested I get an Aloe Vera plant but I don’t really have a space to grow plants where my pets won’t bother them so I opted for the next best thing which was to find a company that sells Aloe Vera products.

Desert Harvest has a wonderful line of organic Aloe Vera products including capsules, pet products, skin care products and more. What sets Desert Harvest apart from other companies is they remove the anthraquinones(which often causes diarrhea) using a patent process. After the leaves are harvested(within two hours) they use a cold process to preserve all of the active ingredients. They also harvest the whole leaves and not just the gel inside of the leaves which means all of the ingredients of the plant to work in synergy.

I have decided to keep a bottle of Aloe Vera Gele in my fridge so I can easily access it when I have a minor kitchen accident. While the product does not need to be refrigerated I choose to because it’s super soothing on burns or minor irritation and helps reduce redness and swelling. This product can also be used as a topical treatment for vulvodynia, skin rashes, bug bites, chapped hands and even under makeup.

The full ingredients list includes: Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Carbomer (Natural Thickener), Sodium Hydroxide (Natural pH Controller), Vegetable Glycerin, Leuconostic/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate (Natural Antimicrobial), Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Extract, Populus Tremuloides (Aspen) Bark Extract, Gluconolactone (Natural Skin Conditioner).

You can purchase their Aloe Vera Gele in multiple sizes including 2 ounces for $5.00, 4 ounces for $9.00 and 8 ounces for $17.00.
