Each person grows up being obsessed with something. It could be something that you're totally fine with sharing with people and exposing yourself with your obsessions, or it could be something you find completely embarrassing, so you try to hide it away from everyone else.

It could be plush toys, those toys that you can get by purchasing those kids meals from fast food outlets, Barbie dolls, etc.

Ever since I could remember, I was completely obsessed with the Japanese genre called "tokusatsu". Of course, back then I just referred to them as superheroes. For context about what tokusatsu is about - it's basically live action shows that feature costumed characters, such as things like Super Sentai (known worldwide as Power Rangers), Kamen Rider (Masked Rider), Ultraman, Godzilla, and so much more.

On special occasions like my birthday, or if I'm not mistaken - every single weekend, I was allowed to pick one action figurine and my dad would purchase it for me. Gradually, my collection grew. It halted for a long time though, until I started to get new exposure with the "Neo Heisei" era of Kamen Rider -  starting from Decade onward. Gradually, the obsession came back, and I began collecting those action figurines again. Not just action figurines though, but other things such as the devices used in the show to fight, transform, and all those other nerdy stuff.

It might seem ridiculous to many that will be viewing this post, even though I'm mainly directing it to a certain few people whom I promised this post will eventually be live - but do not worry, I still have enough lunch money to last me through university (I hope).
