You may have noticed we’ve been on an extended break this summer as I did some soul searching for this next phase of my life; I’ve felt the winds shifting these last fews months with several changes happening in our family…and it is so good! Time is just flying by and with the years passing us more quickly that we can imagine (our baby girl starts college today!), Mr. Stimuli and I decided it’s time to focus on US for awhile and live out some of our travel dreams.
Stimuli has been at the very core of my heart and soul for seven years, but for several months I’ve felt a deep need for something different and I am excited to announce that, as I embark on a new adventure in my career, Stimuli will continue with a new owner, Mike Wilson. Yup, that’s right, there’s an M-A-N in our midst and I’m so excited to share all the details with you.
That being said, y’all aren’t getting rid of me…I am continuing as the Editor-in-Chief while Mike and his daughter, Christa, learn the ropes and settle into their new roles. You’ll see our faces out and about in the community attending events and keeping you in the loop of what’s happening in the hood.
Mike, Christa and I are stoked about working together to bring you the same quality publication you’ve come to love along with some fresh new ideas that we are working on. The best part of the change is that I will continue to be involved with Stimuli as a partner. You can’t get rid of me that easily
We will be re-launching the website on September 20th with all new blog posts from some of your favourite bloggers like Melissa, Ronda and Tanya, as well as a few new voices including Christa’s. We will also have a new print edition hitting the streets the first week of November – just in time to kick off the holiday season.
Words can’t express how grateful I am to each and every reader, business owner, co-worker, family and friend who have stood by me these past seven years. I am excited about the new direction Stimuli is taking and all three of us look forward to connecting with you and our community.
A girl really couldn’t ask for anything more.
