The future of Pokemon franchise from a fan

Tags: pokemon

I was waiting for the E3 2019 to finish before I share my two cents about the expanding world of the Pokemon Franchise.

A Fan Standpoint

I was about to buy the Pokemon Let's Go version of switch last year Christmas, then the distribution of the special edition console was limited and I did not had the change to put up a reservation, aiming for the complete set and it was really expensive.

The hype died down, yet the Pokemon Go and Pokemon Let's Go compatibility remains intact. Still playing Pokemon Go so I would not mind buying them to complete my collection.

Lately, I only play casually. Sending gifts, spinning the pokestop near my office and challenging  single gym for coins, Recently I got a perfect IV slakoth and evolved it into slaking during the community day event last weekend. Other than that, I'm not playing as much as I used to. Since my phone is my primary tool in my work and it's pretty much dead during the afternoon, the time I usually play PoGo.

Then they announced a Pokemon Sleep, they way I understand it: You will be rewarded in game for sleeping. There will be a device that will monitor your sleep. I'm thinking hours will be equivalent to walking, thus gaining more candies for your partner pokemon. Aside from that, I'm not sure what in-game rewards will be given. Maybe a selected pokemon will have an increased CP or health overtime? High hopes for this new feature in Pokemon Go.

It's the one of the most greatest marketing strategy ever, the only thing that everyone does and everytime, you'll be sleeping with pokemon, dreaming with them, and playing when you wake up. hahaha!

Also, I have a pokemon bank PokeBank an online storage service to save and transfer your precious pokemon across different game. Which is really dope. I have a bunch of awesome pokemon in storage right now and I'm wondering if I could transfer them into the latest games...

Then they announced Pokemon Home. This was really awesome, because it is one of the major highlights of the franchise. Trading and keeping those creature and letting them survive from one generation after another. I think Pokemon Home Cloud service is a great way where I can have a one place to transfer my favorites from Mobile Game, Nintendo DS, to my future switch.

"This will be the culmination of my adventure. Every pokemon I loved from all the games across platform will be able to meet on one true Home.
Medyo emotional ako dito, kasi ilang taon ko din silang bi-ne-breed, training, at transfer across time and generations.
I'm really happy." -Me 2019

Then before the year ends, another Pokemon Mobile game will grace the stage. Pokemon Masters, a 3-3 battle syestem  (clash royal?) I really hope you can transfer Pokemon's in your Home. if you look closely at the trainers on the right, they have a rotom fused phone.

Where can I buy a rotom case for my phone? If only i have a 3D Printer

The Pokemon Sword and Shield

Who would have thought that we will arrive in this point in time. Technology is really awesome. This will be a landmark, a first of the new generation in this gaming console.

As I watch the Direct last June 05, the kid in me was screaming and jumping in excitement. I'm really captivated with the visuals and the mood of the SW&SH. The Pokemon team did pushed the boundaries and expanded the Pokemon world into this amazing game.

The creator announced that they will not "export" all the 800 types of Pokemon at the launched. Only the "Galar" (the region in this game) Pokemons will be traded into this game. This will ensure the balance of the battle system and heck' animating all 800 will be a difficult task. That means, most of the fan favorites will be featured.

Personally, I don't care. For sure this will be a feature on the future update. Enjoy the new region without stomping your way to victory. Honestly, I'm okay for them to stay at Home until the time comes when I can introduce them into this new world.

To be honest, there are a lot of insanely strong pokemon when I battled the online PVP. They are really heck! Shinies and everything. It made me realize, how the hell did they got that!

I researched all about it. Tried exploring and breeding and even doing special training to increase stats. It was really a hard hard thing so I just gave up and tried to battle people in the battle tree instead hahaha!

The Future for me

I guess I'll buy a switch early on the second quarter of the year. There are other awesome games they presented in E3 and while waiting for SW&SH this November.  I'll keep you updated!

Cheers!
