Yes, we're all addicted to our smartphones. I'm on a train right now and I know it is difficult to while away time especially when there's an overactive seven-year-old always looking for activity. Is the solution a smartphone?

I know this topic has been discussed, debated and dissected a million times. I'm not going to add to it. I'm here to make a comment on the older generation that seems to be in the thrall of the gadget just as much as the millenials!!!

I can see this gentleman Sitting a few rows ahead of me scrolling through his whatsapp chats since the last 3 hours. He's not exchanged two words with his wife who's sitting right next to him. I know a few of my father's friends on facebook who's joy in life is to post every life update. One of my aunts has made my workdays miserable by forwarding every joke, caveat and video she has.

Are these the people who go out and say, 'Aajkal ke bacche! They can't see beyond their phones. Young mothers use the phone to babysit their kids!'

I agree to all this but I still have to say, papa don't preach.
