A quirk of mine that many of my friends tease me about is my skin care regimen. I had pretty bad acne in high school and since then, I am protective of this little Face of mine. She has been through a lot. She’s also moody. Some days she’s oily, other’s she is more dry than the Sahara desert. But I have figured her out and these are the products that I have a never-ending love for.
Olay “Complete All Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 Sunscreen Protection” and Cetaphil face wash. I only wash my face at night (if I did it in the morning it would be so dry) and then I apply the Olay moisturizer. I am not kidding you, I have never and will never go to bed without washing my face and applying moisturizer. The thought makes me shudder.
Ladies who sleep with make-up on, stop that please.
I have tried many foundations and nothing compares, in my opinion, to BBcream by Covergirl. It’s a tinted moisturizer that also has SPF 15, and since I put that on in the morning, I don’t apply my Olay moisturizer. It’s goes on so lightly—it never cakes or creases on my face, and it also covers what I need covered. Love it. For powder, I use Avon Smooth Minerals. Again, very light, but it lasts all day and gives an even look to my skin.
This is my newest find for a heavy duty concealer—Glamoflauge by Hard Candy. For those bags under the eyes or surprise overnight pimples, this tube is a lifesaver. It’s thick and one tiny drop gets the job done. For only $6 at Walmart, you really can’t beat this stuff. (Also great for tattoo cover-up.)
Another tip: Never lay your face on your pillow while wearing Makeup, even if its an afternoon nap. Your makeup will rub off on your pillowcase and when you go to sleep at night with a freshly washed face, you will be rolling it around in your afternoon makeup. Gross. I always put a towel or blanket over my pillow if I’m going to take a nap, that way my pillow stays nice, clean, and fresh! Again, this is why my friends make fun of me.
But I’ll tell ya, I have a happy face!
What do you use? Do you use these products?
Over and out.
