Mark A. Lopez, a distinguished blogger and a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently published a Facebook post wary of the major political opposition party in the country – the Liberal Party commonly known as the “Yellows”.
In the said post, Lopez expressed his disappointment over the poor facilitation and rehabilitation of the previous Aquino government towards the Super Typhoon Yolanda victims.
It can be recalled that Yolanda is deemed to be one of the strongest and most destructive typhoons that ever landed on the Philippines. Hence, the destruction and damage caused was overwhelming not just to the victims but to the every Filipino.
Despite the oberflowing financial support and donations, the rehabilitation’s progress was unfelt as if the previous government did not prioritize the victims.
“Etong mga panahon na ito tayo namumulat kung gano talaga kawalanghiya ang mga dating namumuno sa atin…Isipin nyo ha…Nung nadale tayo ng YOLANDA, lintek ang pamumulitika ang inuna ni BS Aquino III at ang kanyang tsuwarirap na si Mar Roxas, na syang lalung nakadagdag sa bilang ng namatay at lalung nilugmok ang daang libong biktima at kanilang pamilya…” Lopez initiated.
“At pinagpatuloy ang pamumulitika hanggang sa rehabilitasyon at paggamit ng bilyon na donasyon, para sa kanilang pansariling ambisyon at katakawan sa kapangyarihan,” he added.
Pointing out that it took 4 long years for Filipinos, Yolanda victims in particular, to feel the government’s effective response and assistance to every Yolanda survivor, Lopez wrote:
“Isipin nyo na 4 na taon na pero parang ngayon lang sa panahon ng bagong administrasyon na talagang kumikilos para sa Yolanda survivors.”
“Pero pag gusto pala nila talagang kumilos at madaliin ang isang programa, eh kaya naman pala!…Pinag usapan lang ang vaccine procurement ng isang taon lang, at talagang pinag trabaho pa ang mga department kahit panahon ng kapaskuhan upang madaliin ang vaccination program bago mag 2016 May election,” the critic noted, acknowledging the “Yellow’s” glaring Dengvaxia vaccine issue.
Pointing out the immediate and smooth progress of the Dengvaxia project under the directives and orders of former president Aquino, Lopez claimed:
“Nakita natin na si Pnoy mismo ang tumututok sa programa, at katatkot takot na mainobra ang ginawa para mailabas kagad ang pondo at mailatag kagad ang programa para tamang tamang dagdag papogi sa mga kandidato ni BS Aquino III.”
“Kapag gusto may paraan, kapag ayaw ay puro dahilan!” he asserted rationally.
Lopez then stated that in both cases (the poor Yolanda rehabilitation and the speedy implementation of the Dengvaxia vaccine project), the Liberal Party gained nothing but ridicule and criticisms, and more importantly the two incidents had paved a way for the exposure of tge blunders and fiascos committed by the “Yellows” spearheaded by former President Aquino.
“Kunsabagay, sa parehong sitwasyon, whether ung kapabayaan sa Yolanda at pagmamadali sa dengvaxia, pareho naman ang naging resulta — ang pag plunder sa kaban ng bayan… at ang ang pag balewala sa buhay ng ating mga kababayan!” Lopez ended.
