Well done, Mr Trump!

Slavery ended after the defeat of the slavery adulating Confederate army to the anti-slavery Union soldiers, in April 1865. After that American Civil War and subsequently, after 155 years of that good, great episode - the episode of the defeat - human demeaning instances had cropped up again and again in USA. Finally, after the merciless death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, in the State of Minnesota, anything that reminded of slavery of the past, were removed or publically vandalized by furious and despondent black American protesters. Many white American sympathizers also joined in. Statues of Confederate personnel, soldiers and generals were the main fatalities, as these were the constant reminders of the disgraceful presence of slavery of the bygone years.

Come to think of it, President Trump will be known for the legacy of bringing the plight of black Americans to the fore, to the notice and sympathetic understanding of the world. The reminders of the rampancy of Slavery and presumably, the present persistence with that shameless attitude has been kindled, unknowing and unexpectedly, by Trump. You must give credit where credit is due, whether it has been done knowingly or otherwise is immaterial, when an occurrence of a good deed is concerned. One must remember that it is during his time as the President that this episode happened.

Well done, President Trump! Well done for letting the world  know more about the slavery situation and the plight of the non-white Americans of USA during the years gone by!
