Bank Holiday Deals with eBay….

You all know that I like a good Deal so when eBay.co.uk announced a Bank Holiday weekend full of deals, you can imagine how quick I was over there checking them out.

There’s more than 8,500 deals available on the site between the 24th and the 28th August including up to 60% off on major brands such as Dyson, Halfords and Curry’s PC World.

The big Bank Holiday deal weekend comes at just the right time for us as we’ve set a little bit of money aside to do some home improvements to our house this coming week as it’s my first first free week off work since I went back to work after being ill last year.  We’re not doing anything big but there are lots of little jobs that we know need doing that we want to try and sort this week.

The deal weekend also coincides with a new survey by the eBay which examined how people in the UK shop and found nearly one in three are driven by getting a great a deal with nearly 20% also considering themselves to be impulse shoppers[1].

I can well agree with that based on the number of times in the past that I’ve bought something that I don’t really need just because it was an amazing deal.  Obviously I’m much more controlled with my shopping now (unless there’s something pretty involved).

There are some great deals that I’ve seen so far, including:

  • Up to 25% off KitchenAid with kitchenaid_outlet
  • Save £50 when you spend £200+ at dyson_outet
  • Save up to £150 on top tech with currys_pcworld
  • Save up to 20% of Halfords with halfords_1
  • Up to 25% off Boohoo dresses, jumpsuits & playsuit at Boohoo_outlet

And all of the eBay deals include free shipping too which is an added bonus especially when you’re looking at the larger items like we are for our plans.

It’s not just the big ticket items that are on offer though, I just ordered this dress for Miss Frugal for our holidays in October:

It’s not often we agree on clothes these days but we both love this – I love it even more as it was reduced from £20 to £11 which is brilliant.

I’m also loving this Sat Nav which is reduced down to £75 which seems like a good deal for what you get with it.  I may have possibly spilt a can of pop on Mr Frugal’s Sat Nav a couple of months ago and it’s never been the same since, randomly switching off right whenever it feel’s like it – usually right in the middle of a complex couple of roundabouts which gets poor Mr Frugal more than a little stressed!  I’ve been on the lookout for a good deal since then so this could be the one!

I was a bit surprised at the number of deals there were available if I’m honest as I still kind of see eBay as a place to sell things I don’t want like it was in the early days.  Nowadays though, that’s not the case at all (although you can still use it to sell your unwanted things obviously), it’s actually much more of a worldwide marketplace with 80% of the listings on there being ‘new’ items.

Go check out the deals for yourself and see if there’s anything you’re looking for on offer!
