Save Money For Your Next Family Car #CP

One of the biggest investments you’ll likely make as a dad is buying your Family Car. A good family car is spacious, fuel efficient, and has plenty of power to cope with the heavy load.

We all know that buying a car can be an expensive affair and that’s why today we want to share some of the simple ways you can save every day and pool together the funds to buy your perfect next family car.

Look for bargains

It is so important when saving for car sales to ensure you look for bargains everywhere when you need to make a purchase. This means looking at the reduced section at the supermarket for products that might have a smaller best before date; finding multipack deals where you can buy more and save more; and simply being savvy and avoiding spending too much on things you don’t need.

Start couponing

Couponing is always made out to be this crazy fad with housewives and grandmas but you can really save a lot by using this technique. For example, let’s say at the end of a weekly shop you get some coupons for potatoes, chopped tomatoes, chicken, and rice. You can use these coupons to create a chicken and potato curry dish for the family that could last a couple of days during your week. By looking at your coupons and using them to formulate your shopping list; you’ll be saving Money in no time to go towards a new car.

Make your own coffee

One of those small expenditures many of us partake in during the working week is buying a coffee in the morning from our local cafe. Before work, a coffee is a great pick-me-up but there is no reason why you can’t make a coffee yourself to save some money. If you love a good flavoured coffee consider buying some coffee syrups and you’ll be able to make amazing drinks every morning from home and you’ll save a lot of money through the month that can instead go towards your car.

Cut back on takeaways

When you have a family full of hungry kids and you have a busy life; it is all too easy to reach for the phone and order a takeaway rather than cooking. Not only is this going to be unhealthy for all of you but it costs a lot of money and it really accumulates over time. Consider instead making big batch meals such as pasta bakes or lasagna at the weekend and freeze these meals for easy choices during the week. It will make a big difference to your diet and it will ensure that you don’t spend all of your money on food.

Use cash in stores

When you go to the shop during the week - use cash. Using a card is a dangerous game because you don’t realise how much money you are spending. Instead by bringing cash with you, you’ll be less likely to spend as much because you can see what you are spending as you do it.

Use these simple tips to help you save up for the perfect family car this year.
