It's always exciting when the BBC release their Eurovision advert and this year the Schlagerboys are loving the United Kingdom effort. It's basically a spot-the-Eurovision-reference-fest with nods to Gina G, Bucks Fizz, ABBA, Conchita, The Tomalchevy Sisters (bizarrely!) and for some reason the glitter-blow-at- the camera from Malta 2002.
We're trying to work out if the girl in the red frock in the doorway is a Valentina Monetta 2013 reference, surely not?
And Joe & Jake are throwing themselves in to the spirit of the whole thing; obviously we would have preferred the arms aloft "I-I-I feel like I'm dancing in the sky-I-I" bit, and for Jake to ditch the guitar and be holding a pink gin with a tinsel cocktail umbrella, but this will do.
Of course the only thing missing from this party is the Schlagerboys, falling over and up-ending a bowl of crisps, and moaning about the vodka running out. But there are cup cakes and flags, which is a good thing.
