I have a King 2280, silver plated, less than 2 years old. For those of you familiar with this model, you know it comes with a third valve slide “trigger” which is actually a finger crook. I had Jim Becker at Osmun Music fabricate a piston instead which works like a valve. It’s far more comfortable, easier to use and faster as well. This horn is in pristine condition, as pics will show, accepts a large shank mpc.
Because the bulk of my playing is now in a British style band, it was necessary to get a compensating horn and see no point in having the 2280 sit in a closet indefinitely.
Asking $1,750 plus shipping in the US, if you live near Worcester MA you can come give it a try.
