British pop singer-songwriter Dua Lipa made her Saturday Night Live debut on Feb. 3, performing her Billboard No. 1 “New Rules” and ballad “Homesick.” Both songs appear on her self-titled album, which was released in 2017.
During the Natalie Portman-hosted episode, the 22-year-old songstress commanded the stage in full confidence. While “New Rules” is a harder song to deliver than its catchy melody suggests, and the Lipa jumped between registers competently, marching back and forth while her backup singers followed.
“I’m proud of having the opportunity to put it out there and put my story out there in the hopes that somebody might be able to relate to it and see that we’re all not so different at all and we all kind of go through the same things, and that’s been a massive milestone for me,” the 22-year-old singer recently told Billboard of her
