No, he’s not actually dead. The Icelandic newspaper Morgunblaðið posted the obituary for 82-year-old Svavar Gunnari Sigurðsso and apparently used a picture of Ed Sheeran.

It is unknown if the longtime Icelandic mechanic had any resemblance to the “Shape Of You” singer, but it’s pretty obvious that whoever wrote the post was not on their game that day. Sheeran himself is actually doing quite well as he announced last weekend that he is now engaged to girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
“Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” he wrote on an Instagram picture of the two embracing. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well.”
