Earlier this week, Snoop Dogg released the video for his “Lavender” remix, in which the rapper pulls a gun at a clownish stand-in for Donald Trump. Yesterday, Republican leaders Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio took a break from their very busy schedules to condemn Snoop’s satirical new video.
And today the POTUS himself logged onto Twitter to blast Snoop-D-O-Double-G for his “failing career,” and wondered what would’ve happened had he pointed that gun at President Obama. Trump declared that, had the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper targeted Obama, he’d have been imprisoned—as well as dropping in a slight against the rapper’s career.
See the tweet below:
Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!

Snoop Dogg has yet to reply, but his Twitter mentions are extremely good right now.
